Individual Learning Plans

A plan built around your child
Every student at St Paul's College has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) — a personalised roadmap developed collaboratively between teacher, student, parent/carer, and allied health professionals.
Here's how it works:
- At the start of each year, ILPs are formulated to ensure your child's educational needs are addressed, incorporating your family's goals and your child's strengths and interests
- Goals are reported on twice a year, so you always know how your child is progressing
- A formal annual review is undertaken with recommendations for your child's program for the following school year
- Allied health input ensures therapeutic goals are woven into daily learning, so your child's communication, motor skills, and social-emotional development are supported throughout the school day
Individual goals are identified through a personalised process that considers each student's unique developmental, behavioural, and communication needs. We intentionally keep our student numbers small to enable the close relationships that make this level of personalisation possible.
All of us are unique, and this goes for the students at St Paul's. Once I'm in front of a class, what I've prepared, what I need to adapt — it keeps my mind active.
